I love Due South. Sure it was cheesy and over the top, but (1) it was meant to be and (2) there was this love of Canada that shone through, using all these stereotypes with humour. Paul Gross has done a few things with the same feel, and whenever I'm homesick (Canadian living abroad) his work are my go-to.
