Haha, I got a Kia Soul last July because my body's been too bad to get into my old sedan but I didn't want a full blown huge SUV, and my best friend calls it 'unfortunate looking', but I think it's adorable. XD

Gonna go to sleep soon as my home exam is getting handed out* tomorrow morning and I have to work on it that day as it will be the only full day I will have for working on it this weekend.

But right now, I am listening to the radio, they keep running an advert for a phone line where you call to listen to porn, which amuses me to no end.

*electronically, there is a lecture if we have questions, but I don't think I'll go.

Happening: excited to start new training program to run a 6 mile race on July 4th.

Thinking about my brother in the hospital, recovering from a heart attack. Now he has broken ribs from the CPR (could have been a hell of a lot worse) and now has a kidney stone. Well, at least he's already in the hospital! Also thinking about how to help and his wife out.

Thinking about mom and how to care for her.

Trying to NOT think about food and binging.

Wish today was Friday so the week would be over and I wouldn't have to go to work. Oh well.

Today, the repairs on my car were finished. Now I can take it to inspection and not fail. Driving legally FTW!

Just moved to DC for the summer. Been packing, cleaning, and moving for the last 3 days. Was stupid enough to try to shop for stuff after I got here. Had to carry stuff home from Target because they didn't have any grocery carts. I can barely stand at this point. I think I'm going to crash.

I had a jurisprudence exam for my job today (we're becoming regulated and doing bridging education stuff), and I hate that a) it'll be five weeks before I know if I passed, and b) passing isn't based on a percentage of right answers, instead it's graded based on everyone else's answers as well. (So if everyone got question 56 wrong, they'll throw it out).

Though if that's the case, I think I should be fine, since a lot of the people in my sitting seemed to have the intelligence of a potato... I have never seen so many people unable to follow basic directions.

Seating was sorted by last name, and the rows had signs (ie BAL-CAN) and you had to find your desk with your exam. One woman wasn't even in the right room!! They were A-M and N-Z and she was N-something and somehow ended up in the A-M room and couldn't figure out why she couldn't find her exam. *facedesk*

I'm on my monthly and my painkillers aren't working, so I've been irritable all day. Oh I also went to vote for the European elections, which was about as fun as you might expect.

After a massive argument with one of my oldest friends, I've just given up on hoping he will reply and closed facebook.

Still battling with unemployment but decided to go for broke and apply for a customer outreach job with the local transit authority. It would involve public speaking (which I'm totally cool with despite being ASD); driving throughout the metro area to teach people about the transit system; and putting together presentations. I've done corporate training in one on one and small group environments before, but this would entail larger groups. It'll take some pulling from my retail experience to get used to that, provided I even get through the interview process. If I'm selected for that, I'll probably have to do a PowerPoint presentation and in person interview PLUS give a writing sample. Yeah, it's a lot of work, but I'm willing to give this a go.

Of course, I needed to double check something on LinkedIn while filling in the application and saw a former co-worker had looked at my profile. The thing is, this co-worker and I had a very strange relationship. He claimed to only like me as a friend but emailed me on my days off and said three times in a conversation that he didn't have any problems with my husband. I won't bore you with more examples, but you can probably guess why I wasn't exactly thrilled to find out he found me on LinkedIn.

My daugther had a half day for her last day of school today which ended with their awards ceremony. She got several awards and then we went to eat Mexican and then to the pool. Yay for swimming season. :)

Woke up with an excruciating toothache. Had the dentist remove the tooth. Back in 98 I had a root canal done on that tooth but because of the filling that was used it caused the tooth to crack and rot over time and today it broke beneath the crown.

Had a quiz in class, but now I have a 4-day weekend to not think about the final that is next week!
