Naruto the new/old Avatar

I recapped the last two chapters of Naruto yesterday, so I happened to take a peek at how the fandom was taking 677. Wow, it's taking things worse than usual. I don't think I've seen shipwars like this since the original Avatar series. I think the only people who are happy are the SasuNaru shippers. Sasuke was more talkative than usual.

I'd hate to be actively part of that fandom, yikes.

Search the NaruSaku/NaruHina/SasuSaku/Anti tags on tumblr and you'll see it. Apparently there's also a flagging war on youtube with the Naruhina/NaruSaku amvs or something like that. And oh jeeze, the cross tagging is ridiculous.

Mostly I've been watching the SasuNaru shippers giggle at everyone else squabbling over scraps while they stretch in the lap of luxury before the buffet table of barely-subtext.

I've been doing that with my fellow KakaSaku shippers. We're over here drinking tea and swooning over Kakashi, what, taking TWO panels to talk about how nice and kind and awesome Sakura is in what, chapter, 675?

I think that was Kishi trying to say Sakura's continued love for Sasuke was a positive thing for some reason. And then he follows it up with closeup shots of Hinata being trapped/Naruto reacting after her panels. Sneaky, sneaky!

Oh that might explain why I suddenly got a hate comment on my NaruSaku fic... that was written in 200-fucking-7. Seriously, man, leave me out of this, I don't even know the series y'all are reading anymore.
