So I was thinking about this today and thought I'd ask here. (I only know it from this kind of situation, so that's why I use it) When you go out to a "fancy" restaurants, where they serve water and other drinks in pitchers and stuff, do you ask for a lemon wedge to be in your water, or if it's the default do you ask to not have a lemon wedge in your water. I ask because it always seems like I have to ask for there to be no lemon in my water, but I was wondering whether F!S likes their water to taste like lemons or not, and to see if not liking lemon water makes me some sort of weirdo.

I pretty much take whatever they give me for water. I've never given it that much thought. However, I do enjoy water with lemons in it.

I like lemon and cucumber water. I drink it at home. Most places I go to give lemons and/or limes automatically with water.

Wait, where do you get limes with water?

Hate lemon in the water! Just give me plain water. Though sometimes my mother would use the lemon and add a few sugar packets to make 'lemonade'. If I wanted lemonade, I would order it!

Can't stand lemon in my water or on my fish.

When I go out to eat with friends, a lot of restaurants I've been to will ask if we want lemons in our water. I always say no. If they don't ask and just bring it anyway, I take out the lemon slice immediately. I hate lemon water. >_<

If the server asks, I'll say no. If it automatically comes with the water, I give the lemon to one of my friends. Only time I keep it is if I also add sweetener and make "lemonade."

I've never been offered a choice, I just take whichever they give me.
If they did, I'd probably say yes just because I'm never one to turn down free things.

My sister always has lemon when she drinks water, because plain water makes her feel sick, apparently.

You are not strange. I hate having lemon in my water.

More often than not there is a lemon wedge. (I usually ask for one if there isn't; I love lemons.) But that's only for really nice restaurants; moderately nice/cheap ones are hit-or-miss on that.

ETA: huh, apparently I'm the odd one out here. I don't usually squeeze it into my water, though; I prefer plain water. I usually just eat it. If it comes in iced tea, I squeeze it into the tea first, and then I eat it.

If I wanted lemons in my water, I'd do it proper and make lemonade. Otherwise, just give me plain water, please. Lemon wedges in water is like fading ghost of lemonade. It doesn't appeal to me at all.

I like the taste of lemon and I like the taste of water, but a hint of lemon in water is annoying too me.

I like lemon in my water when I'm going out to eat, just because I find a lot of times restaurant water tastes mossy/mineral-y/odd and the lemon helps mask that.

I don't like lemon wedges in my water but it's the default. I never ask to remove it because I'm forgetful and don't care. I just pop it off the side of the cup and set it down on a napkin or plate or something.

Weirdly enough, I don't like cordial, but don't mind the faint taste of lemon in water. It's only really done in more expensive places, and if it's missing I don't ask because I don't really care either way.

I hate lemons in my drinks period, I wont get the staff to take the drink back or anything but I always take the lemon out and if asked I wont have a lemon slice in my drink. I do not want pulpy lemon bits in my drink. :(

I decline lemon in water at restaurants. I have nothing against lemon or lemon water, but ever since they did that study that showed that lemons cut in restaurants were found to have all sort of stuff on the rind, including feces, it just killed my desire to have lemon in my restaurant water. Even if it isn't true for that particular restaurant IT WILL ALWAYS BE THERE IN THE BACK OF MY PARANOID MIND D:

I don't generally drink the water in restaurants as, around here at least, it's tap water and it tastes nasty. Lemon wedges could only improve it.

You're not weird, OP. In fact, my friends think I'm the weird one for liking it. (Gimme ALL the lemons!)
