Beta etiquette?

(Anonymous) 2014-05-23 12:17 am (UTC)(link)
Hey F!S

recently I started writing a fic for the first time in a million years
and I requested a beta

got two offers. one of them i sent the fic to on pastebin, and they never replied. (It's been... over a week now, i think?)

the other has already beta-ed chapters 1, 2 & 3 for me.

i'm tempted to just put the edited fic up. would this be rude on my part, even though the other beta never got back to me?

Give the other a nudge, then go ahead and post if they don't reply asking for more time.

Heck no! Post it, anon. Just send a polite email to the beta who didn't reply telling them you've decided to post it. You don't have to be pointed about it, just keep it light and polite. :)
