I'm not sure at what age people are meant to grow out of slash, but I'll be turning 30 next month and about 85% of stuff I read is slash (the other 15% being femslash). There's so much canon het stuff in most fandoms that I just have no interest in spending time reading het fics too.

My slashing preferences may have changed over the years, and the amount of time I have to indulge in it (and, of course, the fandoms), but my interest in slash in general hasn't waned one bit since the day I discovered it (over 15 years ago). If anything it's got stronger!
