The words are just that similar and dyslexia that much more well known.
Though I know a guy who has both at once.

I had to look it up, partially because I am Scottish so there is a faint possibility that I might meet a Geordie. Clumsy Doolies indeed!

Oh, I get it, easy mistake, all that, just a pain in the arse to have to keep explaining it again and again.
Ouch. Both at once sounds unfun, Bad spelling and bad typing/handwriting on top of it. poor bugger, school must have been a delight for him.

Huh, so we're practically neighbours. that's cool.
I do love the word doolie, though (I think I heard somewhere it has Scottish origins, like most geordie slang) even though I think technically it might be abelist, it's just a fun bouncie sounding word. "Doooooo-Leeeeeee". Anyway, I do mean it affectionately, so hopefully no one will be offended.

Yeah. It seems like it would be.
From what he said, it sounds like it was.

It sounds like a great word. And I have a lot of thoughts about ableism as a concept but the gist is I don't like how a lot of the time it is people trying to tell me and other disabled people what to be offended at (even literally using the words "you should have been offended"). It's fine unless you are given a good reason to suspect otherwise.
