My personal wish is that, if they do kill off Steve (which, given the contract situation seems likely), they'll have Chris Evans do a cameo at the end of one of the future Avengers movies and reveal that he pulled a Fury, faked his death and is now in charge of SHIELD (as sort of an I-don't-like-SHIELD-but-if-someone-has-to-be-in-charge-I'd-rather-it-be-me thing).

Ugh, I guess that would be (slightly) better than nothing, but I've had enough of fakeout deaths tbh. What with Loki, and Fury, and...probably someone else I'm forgetting. I know they do it all the time in the comics, but I don't want this to keep being a thing in movie-verse.

I mean, okay, if they decided to give Stan a chance to be Cap and then brought Evans back and the two teamed up or something I could probably roll with that, though I might not be overtly enthused. But the thought of Steve faking his death and leaving Bucky to mourn him after he's just started getting his memories back...that doesn't sit right with me. I can't see MCU Steve doing that or wanting to leave Bucky for anything, and if he did I would be furious.
