3. ŌKAMI FTW! AND HEY, ARE YOU ME? Because I was seriously thinking of making a secret similar to this.

I totally relate to that feeling. :| When it comes to small fandoms, it's rather hard to find a person who has played the game/read the manga/watched the anime/whatever and then, when you DO find a person, either they have no interest in roleplaying or, if they do, they make the character so OOC and you just wanna bash your face into a wall or something... Then again, there are those rare moments when a person apps the character IC and you have a ball.

But yeah. I'm currently roleplaying Amaterasu in a multi-fandom AU game. And she is the only Ōkami character there. It makes me a bit sad (and Ammy is totally lonely, though she will only admit that in meta and her pirvate-to-self posts). Ugh. It really sucks.

Haha, have you seen The Peaches Song (http://www.weebls-stuff.com/toons/peaches/)? It was practically custom made for her~!

Okami needs more of a damn fandom. Something that beat Twilight Princess for IGN's game of the year in 2007 deserves some more recognition! Maybe the Wii version in the Spring will help raise the visibility of it.

Cat Call Tower just depressed me a helluva lot. Mainly because whenever I think of the Cat of the Zodiac? I think of Kyou from Fruits Basket.

And I HAVE heard that song~ It's amazing.

Hopefully the Wii version will garner more fans to Ōkami, especially since it'd be really nice to see the fan base grow a bit more. It's such an amazing game. I adore it to pieces and out of all the games in my collection? It has got to be my favorite.

I'd just like to second this comment. I've been in the situation of being the only player from my canon in a large multi-fandom game, and it really is an awkward, lonely situation. I, too, have considered launching a single-fandom game but am not sure if it'd have any chance of succeeding. Really, were it not for the diffent fandoms, I could have written this secret!

My advice to the writer of 3 and to others in that situation is to look for smaller multifandom games, ideally ones that are diverse enough that a lot of characters are the only ones from their canons. It's not a perfect solution, but it can help the loneliness if everyone's in the same boat, and it avoids the pure awkwardness that playing a singleton in a game with huge blocs of characters from the same canon can produce.

I dunno, I'm in a medium-sized multi RP with lots of variety and one-man fandoms, and there are still cliques. Depending on the character's charisma, you can still have them making friends (and even lovers), yeah, but the lonely feeling still lingers sometimes and you/the character can't help but feeling envious towards the more popular fandoms. I think it can still happen in a diverse RP. I've seen people quitting even with awesome crossover bonds.

I was in the EXACT same situation, except my character was Waka. And only a handful of people know my canon, or don't care enough to talk to him anyway.

Ironically enough, an Amaterasu got approved TODAY XD The timing of the secret was slightly off, but it's a feeling I've had for a couple of months now.

Aww, I checked what game was yours, and if it wasn't so AU I'd give it a try -probably Issun. I'm more of a "taken straight from their canon and left on a closed place" kind of AU roleplayer.

Okami really does need a bigger fanbase. The game itself is beautiful, and the characters and story are some of the best I've seen in a while.

I was actually tempted to apply at a current RP of mine for an Okami character, but I just know that because nobody is familiar with it, they wouldn't bother talking to my character >
