This might be identifying, since I've given the same explanation un-anon, but I've never once seen an anon identified from anything they thought would identify them. (I guess most of us aren't as noticeable as we think we are.) Basically, I found an editor for my original fiction, and she had me edit her ponyfic in return. That ponyfic was so incredibly good that I decided to read other ponyfics, and those were incredibly good too, so I read more . . . There were just so many different styles and genres, all amazing. Sure, there's plenty of rubbish as well, but every fandom has trash, and the treasure's more than worth it.
