See, this is why our mileages vary. To me, a kudos can mean anything between "I absolutely adored your fic!" and "Meh, I'm feeling lukewarm so here's a pat on the head"... but because the person wasn't moved to comment, and there's no way to know for sure why they clicked that button, I tend to default to the latter interpretation.

Of course that could be because when *I* find a fic I love, I comment - and and the only time I'll leave a kudos-without-comment is when I'm lukewarm.

Yis. If a fic is awesome, I will comment, and enthusiastically, too, heh. A really good fic makes it so i *have* to.

But of course, 'a really good fic' is so different for different people....
