[Marvel Disc Wars: The Avengers]

My bf bought this for me, but I haven't gotten around to watching this. Maybe I should ;)

...but it's only airing right now, so I'm pretty sure it hasn't been released on physical media yet. Unless maybe the first couple of episodes are out on Blu-ray in Japanese.

Might be mixing things up with something else, then.

What is Spiderman hanging from? A cloud?

To be fair, most of the time when I see Spider-Man webslinging around, this is my question. So often his webs conveniently go offscreen at an angle that suggests they just hang in the sky. I'm pedantic enough that it bothers the hell out of me.

Well, in my head his web is connected to an off-panel flyer, so it's not what he's hanging from, but who.

I wasn't aware this was a thing. Is it an anime series or a movie? I should probably just google it.

Anyway, whatever, I can't judge, I tried watching the Iron Man anime when it aired. (That was terrible, though. Maybe this is better.)

It's a series. Think the Avengers as a Mon series.

Ooo...I don't know what a mon series is. I just need to google it, maybe watch it if it appears on Netflix. (Maybe it's already on Netflix? Hmm.)

Aww...well, sorry? lol. I didn't like the Wolverine one either though, so maybe my expectations were too high or something.

A 'mon' series is one along the lines of Pokemon or Digimon, where a kid or kids goes around with one or several pet monsters, and uses them to battle opponents.

In this case, the monsters are the Avengers.

... That's... Different. Lmao, I don't even know what to say to that. (I loved Digimon, its just... That's an unusual combination. Still, people like what they like!)

The plot is Tony, Peter, and the main character's father design a digital prison for villains that store them as data on a disk... Loki gets ahold of it and uses it to smuggle villains around and also traps all the heroes. So the kids get imprinted with the tech that lets them release heroes from the disks.

The weird part is that there is a type system: Iron Man is tech, Thor is Energy, Cap is Fight, Hulk is Power and Wasp is Animal.

but it's a ton of fun.

This sounds absolutely insane, but possibly in a good way. The basic summary makes it sound slightly less random than Digimon with Avengers. If it's on Netflix I'll add it to my list.

Yeah, I couldn't get into the Iron Man anime at all either.

Thor looks like a super saiyan.

While I agree that it's kind of fascinating, I'm more hate-watching than anything.
The animation is lazy to the point of embarrassment in some places, seriously, lack of consistency, just... lack. Terrible lack.
And some of the character designs are awful. I cried over what they did to Cap and Thor.
.......and let's be fair, the plot is actually really ridiculous.

So while I admit I do find it interesting, it'd be a hard stretch to say I actually enjoy it XD

I had no idea this existed but I'm kind of curious. (Although the boy in red kind of looks like Pokémon trainer and if this isn't some kind of Avengers/Pokémon crossover I shall be disappoint.)

Holy fucking Christ this is amazing. I need to watch it.

OMG, Thor looks like he walked straight out of DBZ or something. That makes me laugh.

As long as it's fun, I might give it a try. I need something to keep me occupied until more MCU movies come out.

I'm a few episodes behind but I am quite enjoying this show... speculating about the true nature of Loki's masked henchmen. It's poke-Avengers but I think it's well done for the most part except for the typing system which is just silly.

I love it, and as a big time comic fan I'm not even ashamed to say so.

It's utterly ridiculous and I wouldn't call it good really, but it's entertaining enough that I keep watching it. I wouldn't judge anyone else for watching.

That's where I'm at. I watch it. I make fun of it. But I'm also enjoying myself each time a new ep is released. And I'm having a hard time calling it *too* much weirder than the normal things comic books get up to.

I might watch this later on. Hell, according to Wikipedia, it uses more Marvel characters than Avengers Assemble does.
