I've heard a few good things about this show. So, quick question: do we get other pantheons showing up or is it just Norse gods?

It's just the Norse gods and the ones from New Zealand - Maui and such. It's a kiwi show though, so I don't expect everyone to be nearly as familiar with those when they show up later in the series.

Ooooh. I don't know much about those gods but I'd be interested in reading up on them before I get into the show.

I grew up knowing some of the more popular ones at least, but granted that is probably due to being a kiwi myself. I know there are a few sites around if you have a look, if you want some basics? I found this one pretty easily through google for example. But gosh, I'm happy to hear others are interested! I loved this show, along with Outrageous Fortune so much!

Awww yissss! Thanks for the link! I'm always looking to learn more about mythology, especially ones that are a bit more obscure. And recently I have been curious about TV shows from Australia and New Zealand. I don't think we get that many over here. :] (Funnily enough, I have heard of Outrageous Fortune. Never watched it though).

Sure, I'm happy to help! I'm aware our shows are more obscure and I know for sure that Almighty Johnson's and Outrageous possibly have certain little references that others overseas might not quite understand or appreciate as much. I know we have the dvds easily available here but I am less sure on overseas.

And oh gosh, Outrageous is prob my favourite even over the Johnsons. There are quite a few little cameos of actors and actresses showing up in both too!
