Marvel Unlimited

Because the price issue has popped up in the last threads about comics. Marvel has a digital subscription called Marvel Unlimited. You pay 10 dollars a month or 70 a year and get access to a huge catalog spanning decades. Current issues are added 6 months after publishing date.

Do DC or Image have something similar?

Feel free to use the thread to ask for recs or "where to start" questions.

Just to be clear, Marvel Unlimited doesn't keep you up to date with comics as they come out right? So I wouldn't get like their ongoing Original Sin if I got the subscription right?

Now that I've gotten more into comics, thanks to F!S, I want to get into the main avengers ongoing, I think vol.5, but from the issue previews it seems to be really weird space stuff, and I get that its tied into with New Avengers, which I enjoyed their first little bundle pack that was on sale of that, but Idk, seems a bit overwhelming. Plus it feels like if I read those two I need to also get Infinity, which doesn't really seem to grab me.

They add the current comics 6 months after they're published. So you'd get to read Original Sin 6 months late.

Ah, I'm not reading any current Avengers team books, but from my friends who are, yeah, Avengers and New Avengers are pretty tied up and into this big, long space storyline that includes Infinity. It might be possible to jump on after the crossover, though, but I can't help you there and it sounds like it might not be your thing anyway.
