I haven't played this season yet, but tbh? I'd probably run the fuck away too if I saw my father get shot and eaten. Doubly so if, like other commenters have said, she was taught to hide and rely on him to protect her since it would mean she's getting snapped into "Oh shit, I have no way of defending myself" + "I just saw my [presumably loved] father get killed and eaten right in front of me". For someone whose been sheltered that'd be a very, very hard thing to confront particularly when it's thrust on you all of a sudden.

So yeah, I can see the sympathy.

Forgot to add: By the same token, I should probably put this out there: Even with all the crap Ben did in the first season I never actually thought about letting him get eaten. Mainly because he just registered as a scared kid doing his best [seriously, he *did* try to protect the group...even if it was the worst way possible].

So, uh...take what I say with a grain of salt.
