Things that are None of Your Business

(Anonymous) 2014-05-27 11:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Someone made a comment in a recent post to do with male slash authors that an author I thought was male is actually female. This is so completely not any of my business, but of course now I'm curious about it.

F!S, what are you curious about that is none of your beeswax?

Everything. I'm the worst.

I'm also really good at finding people who've switched accounts. It's a fun little game and I don't do anything more than that.

People's biological sex. I know I shouldn't care and it shouldn't matter, but I need to know.

GAH. And now I'm curious about the size of Patrick Stewart's penis. Thanks, Page 1.

Couple of things. I'm always curious about people's relationships with money (not how much they have, but how they see spending it and how they decide what to spend it on). I'm always curious about how near/far extended families live in regards to each other (my extended family is in NYC, FL, VA, SC, TX, CA, and MA. It fascinated me when I realized that there are entire families that live in the same neighborhood).

Like, details of what goes on in their bedrooms? Or just more "who's sleeping with who?"

Tumblr drama. Annyone referencing drama on their blog is like turning a light bulb and like a moth, i'll be drawn to it and try to find the beginning of it.

If everyone says "sorry, this is a personal thing" or something like that I immediately want to know everything. I just like knowing things.

nothing at all. If it's personal I find it boring and if someone tells me not to worry about it I will literally put it out of my head and not think about it again.

I know that's not a particularly good character trait :p

Will my co-worker get laid, and if she does, will she stop polling the guys in the room as token representatives of manhood?

(I'm not fully out at work, I'm tempted to if she'll stop assuming I know how straight people date.)

I am a terrible busybody and like to know everything that's happening to the people around me, whether they're my family, friends or coworkers.

And I usually get to know most things too, at least about my friends, mainly because I'm the type of patient person who asks people about their lives and is supportive (and I also hardly ever use my knowledge for evil). I'm also known as a good-natured gossip so people will come to me if they want to talk about a mutual friend but don't want it to turn malicious.

Also, I'm pretty intuitive, and have a great memory for personal details which makes it easier - I'm a lurker here but I have several theories about which named users are which anons or have made which secrets. I only wish I had someone in IRL who read fandom secrets as well who I could gossip about F!S users with :(

In summary: I am a shocking gossip and you should trust me with nothing.

I once wondered if a friend's girlfriend was transsexual, but for a variety of reasons I now believe she's just very masculine in appearance. Mostly of course it doesn't really matter, she is who she is, and who she is is pretty great.

Medicine cabinets. I pretty much don't actually snoop, but it's so tempting. It's not like there's even anything interesting in them, I just want to knoooow.

My friends' sexualities. I think two of them are straight, two are bi-leaning-lesbian, and one I have no clue other than that he dated one of the bi-leaning-lesbian girls for a while. I'm aware that it's none of my business at all, but I want to know.

I usually don't care about most peoples' relationships but there are some actors (Jeremy Renner or several football/soccer players for example) where I'm really curious about their sexual orientation even though I know it should be none of my business and they get annoyed about it a lot.
