You're welcome! Like the anon above me said, it wasn't much of a subthread. Fair warning, those articles linked can shatter your childhood a bit, that is if you have fond memories of Xanth or any of Piers Anthony's works.

Haha, yeah. I skimmed them a bit and then remembered all about the Brassies in the Xanth series and realized I'd kind of seen the issues there all along. It was titillating stuff when I was a teenager, but pretty gross now.

His facisnation with panties should have clued me in as well as the other gross stuff but I was a horny kid back then so I didn't notice. God, I can't believe I liked that stuff.

Some of the mythology was interesting though. And a few of the characters too. If only it had been in the hands of a better, less skeevy author.

I'm thankful that I didn't have to with that kind of awkward conversation. I'm surprised that my middle school library had any of the Xanth books in it. They could get quite raunchy.

And no, I don't remember it. Refresh my memory.

These Xanth threads and articles kinda make me want to read them again just to see how fucking creepy they are. I barely remember anything about them.

I'm not sure how many Xanth books it had, but yeah it did. I remember checking Demons Dont Dream from it. A bit surprising, considering I'm in a conservative small town in the midwest. Makes me wonder if the librarian or anyone on the school staff bothered to look stuff over before putting them in the library. Wonder if they're still there.

Haha, do tell. I never experienced anything like that. How awkward was it?

Ugh, gross. Jesus fuck, how did any of us like these books?

That's probably what happened, lol. I think that I might do that. Hm, I wonder if I can email the school about it.

Haha, yeah, while Devil Hunter Yohko isn't porn, the first episode is definitely raunchy and not for kids. The whole series isn't. And wow, I forgot how much her design does look Sailor Moon-y. Funny thing is that it came out before Sailor Moon. Anyway, that is awkward. I bet you learned how to hide your smut pretty fast though.

You're welcome! And thank you for the trip down memory lane with that site. Oh wow, I remember reading a couple of their Gundam Wing fics. They were so damn bad.

I've never read Xanth, but thank you for the terrible songfic. Terrible songfics are my terrible comfort food. I love them.

I want to know just how the heck his publisher let a book go out with that title. Did they wake up one morning and go "fuck it, screw sales volume and lets just put the creepiness right there for everyone to see"? Don't get me wrong, I am glad they did so I knew not to bother any more with that author, but it is kinda the opposite of a publisher's job to do stuff like that.
