Do you take all of your clothes off when you have sex?

(Anonymous) 2014-05-28 02:18 am (UTC)(link)
I've come across this attitude among guys lately that it's not normal for men to take off their shirts when having sex. That struck me as being very odd.

But then, I thought more about it, and I realized that there are a lot of people who don't take off all their clothes when they have sex. Some people just take off the bare minimum necessary to get the deed done.

For me, every once in a while, my socks don't come off, mostly because I kind of forget. But every other piece of clothing always comes off. There was one time when, for some reason, I didn't take my shirt off right away, but then it got really hot and uncomfortable, so I wound up removing it and haven't kept it on since. Also, each of the people I've slept with took off all their clothes, as well -- again, with that one exception of socks occasionally being left on.

What's your experience? I'm interested in seeing how typical it is that people just don't get naked when doing the deed.

I've had sex with a skirt on before, but shirts + no pants will always look weird to me, and I've never met anyone who does that? If they want at my boobs, I demand shirtlessness, I guess.

Yes.

Occasionally a shirt is left on, but not very often.

Almost always with both parties naked, unless that's extremely inconvenient. I've had sex with just my pants off before and nothing else (het woman here) which I guess the guy involved didn't mind because there's nothing much to see up there - I date guys who are into legs and ass for a reason, lol.

I've also fucked with a pair of heels on, but while it seemed like a good, sexy idea at the time, it was surprisingly awkward. It's a good way to tear sheets and twist your ankle every time you put any amount of pressure on your foot, whether you're laying down or not.

Yeah, except for when I've been in a car or something.

I always figured the dudes with shirts on during sex thing must either come from porn, or from guys who feel self-conscious about their chest/abs area.

Hmm, it really depends if it's a quickie or not, where I am, things like that. And sometimes it starts half-clothed and goes to full naked. I do expect reciprocity and would find it weird if I was naked and the other person refused to. Can't remember it ever happening though.

Now the socks thing. I hear people find it off-putting but I have the worst case of cold feet and tend to keep my socks on unless it's summer. Never had any complaints but who knows.

I'm a guy, and I usually but not always take my shirt off. When I wore underwear with flies, though, I'd sometimes leave my underwear on and just pull my dick out, thus keeping my balls securely out of the way. Also I usually leave my socks on, because my feet are enormous and knobbly and taking socks off isn't something I can just casually do while my hands are busy.

Usually, everything goes. Maybe half the time we leave socks on, since I'm not into feet. If we're in a hurry or lazy, I might leave my shirt or bra on, but I much prefer it when he takes his shirt off. Sometimes we do one clothed partner/one naked partner as a D/s thing, which means usually I (but occasionally he) is the clothed one.

(het relationship, btw)

I would be really disappointed if I had future!sex and future!hubby didn't take off his shirt on a regular basis. Torsos are hot, man. (And yes, I'd take off everything. Except socks if it's cold, because fuck the cold.)
