I haven't heard this song yet, but Vienna Teng is awesome.
Is this song generally not liked by her fans?

It's not that people don't like it, it's just that nobody else I've met likes it better than her other songs. Lots of people love Lullaby for a Stormy Night, lots of people love Recessional, but nobody I've dealt with loves Landsailor.

hmm, ok. Well I don't love either of those songs (even if the former is what got me into Vienna Teng), my favorite is "My Medea".

I honestly can't say that I've got a Vienna Teng song I like better than all the rest— there's usually five or six duking it out for the top spot, and sometimes they'll rotate as I suddenly "get" a song. That said, fuck yeah Landsailor is in that top section. I spent a good two or three weeks with it on repeat picking the lyrics apart.

(...Speaking of unconventional favorites, though, I have to say Close to Home might be mine. WHOOPS.)
