I did! It was amazing. I love that EW's attitude is that Hott Fuzz is Nick/Danny fanfic.

Well...did you watch the commentary? Apparently most of Danny's dialogue was originally supposed to be for Nick's girlfriend, but then they cut him getting another girlfriend out of the movie entirely and just gave his lines to Danny. So it makes sense, lmao. Danny IS basically his love interest.

Bleak House, I don't get how people can ship Esther and Mr. Jarndyce. It just creeps me out so bad. I mean, I guess I can see how they ship it, but it's just so utterly creepy to me.

Are you talking about her pseudo father figure? I agree that I can see how they ship it too, him being a legit good person and them almost marrying and whatnot, but a huge part of their whole relationship is him realizing that it's wrong.

I miss geocities so much. So much fanfiction lost because it is gone. I hate the fact I missed Fandom Wank in its heyday. I wish it wasn't dead.

Aw man, I miss guestbooks and web rings, too. And I miss the joy I felt when I discovered iframes (because regular frames are a fucking bitch). And I miss making terrible graphic banners for my fic.

Oh fandom wank! I miss how active it was. I'm so glad I found a fandom that still loves to discuss things as opposed to just pics on tumblr.

I miss fandom wank too. I sometimes slip phrases like "my hed iz pastede on yay" into conversations and whatnot, and people get what I'm talking about since they're vague enough to understand even without the in joke, but no one actually GETS what I'm talking about.

- I still see the show as Monica and Chandler's story. Even before they got together they had the more interesting storylines. Phoebe's was good until they dropped it for some reason, and she got a bit bitchy. (Although I know people IRL who were/are kind of like that, sort of hippy dippy and sweet in their early-mid twenties and actually kind of nasty in their mid twenties- early thirties. So part of me reasons it was just a natural progression.) Rachel and Ross bored me - not separately, I actually liked them separately, but I couldn't buy that they really loved each other.

- What happened to Ben? I thought I read somewhere that the parents of the kid who played him had a falling out with the show... is that true?

I aggressively shipped Rachel and Ross for some inexplicable reason when I was kid. When I was a teen and going through my hippie stage, I really liked Phoebe, but was disappointed to see her turn into a parody of herself (I really think so, she not only got more conservative, which would've been natural as you said, but I thought she was just insufferable at some points).

Now, my favorite character is Rachel: I really like her progression, from the spoilt self-centered girl who couldn't take care of the most basic stuff in life into the independent woman and mother. But she shouldn't have gotten off that plane.
