I actually didn't know so I guessed, seeing as the majority of people I know who are really into games did at one point.

Ah, it's all good. Different strokes and all that. I like it these days mainly because it's one the games that falls straight into how I play when given a choice which...is sadly not as common as I'd wish.

What do you like about it?

I remember when the first game was announced it was briefly discussed as being a potential successor to the Thief series (though that was unfounded.)

I liked..a lot, but mainly the duel story-lines, and the fact you could be as sneaky as you wanted to be without there usually being too huge a penalty if you decided not to do that...outside of a few missions that weren't too bad.

Which I know isn't the best description but I'm not sure how else to put it.

Yeah, I remember hearing something about that, but I didn't pay that much attention to it.

I liked it for the same reasons, and also the open world environments and the historical settings.
Granted, from what I can tell, Dark Souls would make one of my veins expplode from pure rage and frustration.

Oh yes - the history is amazing, and from what I've heard/seen they do put a lot of work into being as accurate as they can be! Which makes me little history nerd heart happy.


I've pretty much heard the same thing about Dark Souls which is why I've avoided that series so far.

Have any recs though? I'm replaying [a modded to hell] skyrim, but I'm looking for something new once I finish that.

In terms of open world, might I suggest Crackdown? It's pretty damn old but I find it to be immensely satisfying. Saints Row 4 has Crackdown's core mechanic refined but I prefer Pacific City's design to Steelport.
