ggggggh.

I have such mixed feelings about this.

This is a PERFECT song for that series of scenes, and vice-versa. I also really liked the art they used. I really wanted to like this, but

1. the timing and manner of the scene changes didn't match up with the song very well at all, it felt like it was too soft and ignored the effects that the tempo and percussion have on the mood, and

2. the fact that they posted the lyrics on the screen (in handwriting, even) kept taking me out of it

this just feels like so much missed potential :'(

(and even if I had any video editing skills or software - which is something I'd like to eventually have - I would feel weird doing this differently because it would be super rude. but now I really really want a video of this that's well done...)

The lyrics are from the original comic version, where (I assume) they're the creator's best shot at keeping the audio and the visuals synched properly. That one's not the video maker's fault. The scene changes I agree with you on. It feels just a bit off. Still faithful to the original, though.

If you ever do get some video editing software, the creator might be willing to provide a version without the text; I know they've posted a few panels text-free. Nothing to be done about the placement of the scene changes, unfortunately.
