Okay I'm going to confess something: I do not understand the color thing. What is that even about? Why is it trending? Is it some ~art thing~ that I as a non-artist just don't understand? I am so confused by the whole trend.

Some people are interested in color schemes and color theory, so that's probably part of it.

Color palettes. We artists like to use them sometimes to practice how to mix colors in a pleasing way. Some use them for themes in their personal journals, etc.

They're just there for those who like to use them.

I'm an artist and while I don't hate it, I don't really get much use out of it either.
