I like the actress, but I really loathe the character.

(And I had stopped watching after the Christmas special, so I wasn't away aware of that bullshit about her being responsible for the Doctor taking the TARDIS ... which is complete shite. Way to crap all over the lovely Idris ep, Moff. What, did Neil make you feel inadequate as a writer?)

Meh, I didn't like NG's episode. I stopped watching about ten minutes in to the Christmas Special where she was introduced, too, but it wasn't because of her character, it was the whole all-companions-leaving-must-now-be-over-emotional-messes-of-wangst-and-horror arc that New Who seems so obsessed with, that finally broke my brain. Eleven's hang-dog look after the scenery-chewing histrionics at the end of The Angels Take Manhattan just sealed the deal for me. Haven't watched since, and I (mostly) had stuck it out with the reboot through the bad, the worse, and the ugly, all the way up to that point.
