Gen, ffs. My kingdom for more gen that isn't lightweight fluff, completely plot-based and emotionally arid, or just character studies without plot.

I actually like character studies without plot, but that's not all that gen can be! Where are all the long, meaty, dynamic, character-driven multichapter gen fics? There's just not enough of it.

Hiding on the hard drives and locked journals of ficcers who don't think they're worth posting in public, because anything that's not shipfic isn't likely to be read by anyone outside of a very small circle.

They are written by Tipper, but if you don't like SGA or Mag7 you're kinda out of luck. I also seem to recall some jolly good writers in the MFU fandom as well
