I like her. She's a little flat characterization-wise, but that's nothing new. I liked Ziva too and hope she'll come back for an episode or two and rectify that truly atrocious and rushed exit her character made.

That all said, this show needs to end. I loved it for a long time, but it's gotten so stale. Not even new cast members can shake it up sufficiently. The writing has become worse and worse - they don't follow established characterizations or even seem to have read/seen what writers before them did. Tony and Tim have enough seniority that they should each have their own teams. Gibbs must be 10 years past mandatory retirement. Come on now.

Yeah they should've ended it with the Internal Affairs guy genuinely arresting Gibbs and him going to jail. It is ridiculous that a guy who has broken the law as much as Gibb's has is still held up as a hero. It would be one thing if he was in anyway repentant about his crimes, but he is just an unrepentant asshole by this point.

On the subject of Dark Eyebrow girl, she's meh. But I agree Ziva ought to have been killed too.

I gave up on the show last season because of the very issues you cite. They just kept rehashing the same storylines over and over, I really couldn't care less about Gibbs' backstory anymore with the amount they just kept going back to it, and I kept thinking that Tony especially needed to mature and leave/get his own team (or have Gibbs retire and him take this team over).
