i've been playing pokemon x for about 30 hours total and i already caught 2 shinies! i have a purple and orange roggenrola and a pink skorupi :)

my brother's been playing the game since it came out and he's never met one. he's so bitter about it, it's hilarious.

^that was me. dw logged me out for some reason.

argh. I've been playing X and Y way longer than that, and I don't have any! I found one, it was a shiny Graveler, and it used Explosion immediately. FFFFFUUUUUU

oh man, that has to be the worst. that and having a shiny growlithe use roar, or a shiny abra use teleport.

i'd throw my ds out the window if that happened tbh

I was kinda tired, I was laying in bed one morning after waking up playing Pokemon X, and I kind of just stared at it going "...did you really just"

I have never even SEEN a shiny. SO SAD FOREVER.

Oh, nice! :D I haven't seen any in X yet (and I have more like... just checked, 167 hours, heh), but I did find one in White 2. Gorgeous golden Altaria. I named it Aultaria, because science puns. (And a friend traded me a shiny Solrock for X, anyway!)

Once I have the Shiny Charm, I'm going to go hoard hunting for a shiny Mareep. I desperately need a bright fuschia Ampharos named Amphabulous that I can Mega-evolve, okay. I NEED one.

Nah, I've been unusually unlucky. I hope luck's about to change.

Nope, we've been fairly unlucky in my house. Had a $500 dentist bill that I'd forgotten about show up, our car randomly needed $1000 in repairs, my daughter "lost" her cell phone (we think it was stolen by a "friend", but we have no proof.) I think that's it.

Of course, on the flip side, it was tight, but I had the money to pay for the dentist bill and the repairs. I had to dip into our savings (which is what it's there for, of course) and we're eating mostly pasta and stirfrys for the next couple of weeks, but we did it. And with a little creative accounting and some judicious use of my birthday money next month, I think we can swing a new phone for my daughter. So that makes me feel very fortunate.

So unluckiness has highlighted my general luckiness in life?
