They seem like perfectly nice brows, what are people all in a huff about?

I'm sorry you didn't like her, but it pleases me to know fandom liked Ziva. I used to watch the show and she was my very favorite character. I peeked into fandom and it seemed everyone thought she was an evil woman corrupting DiNozzo or something, so I'm happy the tides changed.

I guess that they don't match her hair?

Don't you know, fandom hates fair hair and dark brows (Danaerys, Thranduil, etc.)?

I said "I never disliked her". I didn't say I didn't like her. I had no issues with Ziva herself. But the epic shit storm her fans kicked up when Cote left the show made me wish they'd killed Ziva off rather than leaving the door open for her return. I'm talking attacking other members of the cast when they felt like they weren't supportive of Cote, of accusing CBS of mistreating Cote, accusing the media of covering it up...it was really really ugly. And even now you can't read any article about NCIS without the comments being taken over by the Ziva fans wanting the show to bring her back, talking about how her leaving has ruined the show, how terrible of a character Bishop is (that's Bishop, her replacement, in the photo). I'm just sick of it all, and I just feel like as long as there's a possibility of her coming back to the show, they're never going to shut up. That's why I wish they'd killed her off.

That sounds like a textbook Replacement Scrappy reaction, which is hilarious to me as Ziva was the Replacement Scrappy after ~beloved Kate~'s death.

Things change in eight years. I don't know when the Ziva/Tiva fandom really started getting big but they were a very very large and vocal group by the time this all happened. The shipping played a big part of it I think. Never underestimate the determination of shippers to see their ship realized, or their outrage at having their ship sunk.

Actually, I stopped watching the show because the episodes were all focusing on Bishop and ignoring Ducky, Abby, Tony and McGee. They had little to no screen time or participation in solving the cases. I loved Ziva but her arc was done. I just missed the Team interaction. It would have been great having a new member if it weren't all about the new member. Ziva's integration was more deftly handled.

Bishop's very pretty though. Although white as well, that also bothered me. It's not like they needed another white cast member.

Not that I shit-stormed or anything. I just stopped watching the show.

Most of fandom, at least on LJ, hated Ziva. Your impression of "I peeked into fandom and it seemed everyone thought she was an evil woman corrupting DiNozzo or something" is spot on. Well, there was also "OMG how dare she hurt poor widdle Tony!" I ended up leaving the fandom because I couldn't take it anymore. She/Her actress does have some rabid fans on other message boards/elsewhere though. At least from what I keep hearing people complaining about, even if I haven't seen them.

I think the LJ fandom and the Tumblr fandom were two very different animals.

That could very well be. I freely admit I haven't looked into the Tumblr fandom at all, as I was pretty much done with fandom by the time Tumblr became highly popular, and I've noticed that Tumblr fandom seems to like more female characters than LJ fandom does. At least from what I've seen of other shows like Supernatural.

Funny, most of the LJ places I lurked at loved Ziva.

Really? Because I was pretty much everywhere in NCIS fandom, and while there were a couple of Ziva friendly communities, there were a lot that were not. The no-Tiva one in particular was very virulent. (One can not want Tiva to be canon and still like Ziva, as is the case with me, but that wasn't the majority of the people there.)
