I do the same for my shortish fics. I write about 1-2000 words in one night, and post, instant gratification, or about 6-8000 in perhaps ten days, the same--bam, ahhhh.

In three weeks, that's what, seven fics? I don't think seven fics can be called a flood, as the OP describes it.

I suppose it could be a flood in a really tiny fandom where there were only a dozen fics prior.
