Because now I'm playing that MMO Wakfu. It's fun. It's like RO but turn based so I don't completely suck at combat. I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing or where I'm going but I'm a cute robot with a pet.

So, to make this a discussion instead of a public calling out of the oh so heinous comradesmiler have you guys played Wakfu? Do you like it? Do you play a different MMO? How is that working out for you? How fucking cute is the shit you play? HOW CUTE IS IT?! IS IT FUN TOO? IS IT ADDICTIVE? TELL ME.

Honestly I was talking about the cartoon rather than the MMO (which honestly I haven't played yet), but hey, as long as you're happy.

You just reminded me that Aura Kingdom was such a disappointment, gah!

What is Aura Kingdom?

A free MMO that was hyped up for a while. It had a lot of neat features, but the drop rates and speed of certain content sort of killed it. It's still going okay, after being out for only a few months.

Ah, yeah, I dunno how well Wakfu is doing. It's kinda cool but has some irritating issues. :/

RO... I hear has a sequel? I never could understand the story of that place though.

Do you think your game will die completely?

Unsure, Eden Eternal is still going strong and it's yearsssss old and has a dying community. The RO sequel was AWFUL. So awful they shut down the Korean version. I played the beta, it was a really boring 'grind for 100000 years and collect 2000000 of this time' type of mmo, and you can sort of see why it bombed.

I suppose I can. It does sound horrible. They spent so much time on RO2. I wonder why they went that route.

A lot of the fans said RO1 was leagues better, even though it was old. There just wasn't much of a draw. The beginning is okay, with the 100 type of poring quests, but it gets really boring the higher you get. I DID like the 'choose your own voice' bit :(

Ah, so the quests were uninspired. That can be a real dealbreaker.

I do like the anime, I've only watched the first season but it's got amazing characters (Especially Nox, HOLY FUCK is Nox amazing) and it shares the same setting as the MMO.
MMO's aren't really my sort of game, but I used to spend hours on Club Penguin.

Yeah. The main server is apparently free now and all private servers are pretty much about PVP.

Ha, have fun playing it. I keep giving up on RO because I suck so badly at the battling part.

I was never very good at it (I'm generally not particularly good at vidyagames, except Pokemon or Plants vs Zombies) but I always had a lot of fun playing it!

I even cosplayed the female Alchemist at one point. I'd like to redo that costume now that I'm better at sewing stuff, it'd be really fun. Especially if I could get a wagon full of broken shitty junk to drag around with me again.

Same here. I'm horrible at MMOs. Well... at least I was horrible at RO but I still had a blast. I guess that's why I'm playing Wakfu now. It reminds me of RO but the battle system is easier to handle for me.
