A friend of mine had a crayon shoved someplace unsavory when she was in elementary school.

Someone once told me they liked South Park. This isn't that weird, it's just that he was the last person on earth I expected to say that.

Not a friend, but I once had a guy tell me that a dragon was his spirit animal. For the sake of context, this was at a Civil War reenactment and I wandered up to his table to get a brochure about an upcoming event and he started talking about his spirit animal and how it spoke to him. I put the brochure down and noped away.

I get weirded out when strangers tell me, unprompted (and it's always unprompted, because unless you are at a New Age convention or possibly Burning Man, when would it come up???) about their spirit animals, past lives, or anything like that. You're not alone.

It just came out of nowhere and made no sense in context. And before I had a chance to react or say anything he said: "Yes, I DO HAVE A SPIRIT DRAGON!"
