Not really a story - but I'm pretty sure that my kink for one-armed men started out very innocently, when I was having a sort of pre-teen crush on Luke Skywalker. At least, I've been able to trace it there, it's where it started. After that it lay dormant for about 5 years, but came back when I was a teen, and was pretty much solidified by the time I started shipping Mulder/Krycek at about age 16-17.

And it never went away, and fandom provides feeding for it, so I think I'm screwed for life with that one.
