What is the most ridiculous thing you've done lately?

So yesterday there was a sort of rec thread (fics that made you feel good) and someone recommend "critical feline mass". I couldn't remember the name/plot/much of anything except that it was on AO3 and involved captain America and cats. So instead of you know, re-reading the thread, I just searched AO3 for captain America and cats. 36 results. I read them - all of them - in fact have spent the last 8 ish hours reading them (and god does Tony get turned into a kitten alot). All because I couldn't be bothered rechecking the thread for the correct rec. After I read them all I went back to the thread to check I hadn't missed it - which I had (it's feline not cat) which all in all makes me utterly ridiculous.

tl;dr: spent 8 hour reading fanfic looking for a rec that I could have just rechecked.

Ridiculous thing of the year: I just went to buy a dress (have a huge event coming up). Deliberately spent the entire time JUST looking at fabric and fit without checking a single price-tag. Decided on the perfect, perfect thing.

Went to the counter. Heard the final tally. Went D: D: D: D: D: inside.

Bought it anyway.

(It's not that bad, I can afford it. It's not putting me into debt or anything, it's juuuust enough to make the next month or two squeezy. But fuck it. I am wearing this thing to every damn formal event I go to, forever and ever. It is perfect!)
