You totally lost me... Do you consider B5 to be sad? Well, all stories which are complex enough are sad, admittedly, but this is not really the first adjective that leaps to mind when I think about Babylon 5 (which is a classic and a great show, BTW).

How is what happens not sad? Death, destruction, etc. I mean it as a compliment, btw. Like, it really made me feel strong emotions, one of which is sadness. Granted I'm only at the beginning of season 5, but I'm kind of baffled as to how one couldn't apply the word "sad" to what has happened thus far.

Well, in that case I do not want to go into spoilers either way because it's really a great story arc, but though it does include some tragedy and some really angsty stuff, that would not be how I define B5 overall. Opinions may differ, I guess.

And you may consider revisiting your opinion on the show once you have seen it all...
