yeah but, one, I don't think that's what OP is saying. I think OP wants to get into a fight about whether the Bible, and Christianity more generally, are inherently anti-gay.

and, two, I think when people say that being anti-gay isn't truly Christian, they're not really making a historical claim in the first place, but a political argument about the way things should be, true principles of Christianity, etc.

IDK man I don't remember religion secrets getting this much of a response back in the LJ days. Or even here, it seems like only in the last year or so, anything religion-based gets out of hand really quickly. *points to number of replies now and raises eyebrow*

Well, I was only there for a year or so of "the LJ days" and I don't remember much about religion coming up then at all. So I guess I can't say for that. But in other places online, I've noticed it tends to stir quite the shitstorm.
