I thought it made more sense in the manga. The anime doesn't really go into the "She was put under a spell to think she was Usagi", so it makes zero sense that Luna and Artemis wouldn't know Sailor Moon=daughter of the queen

It did seem that Luna and Artemis didn't remember anything about the past other than that there WAS a princess. It made a bit more sense in the live action version too, where Minako and Artemis were purposefully pulling a rouse and the term Moon Princess didn't even come up until well after Minako had established herself as the Princess, in the Elegy for a Princess episode.
