Well, the general rule of thumb is that it's popular [which...is what "pop" stands for] so I'd take that as "If it's something only people who are super into the genre would know, then it's not pop. But if casual enjoyers of it would know it then why not?"

But that's just how I tend to rule of thumb it. -shrugs-
