My aunt shared a (poorly constructed) Excel chart on charity spending from WorldTruth.TV's Facebook page. I've been researching the information in the chart and so far haven't found much that supports the information provided. I'm getting really sick of people I know sharing (potentially) false information on social media. That goes double for people who've graduated college. Hell, my aunt is a tenured English professor. I don't consider that an excuse, though. I graduated with a BA in English but do independent study in the natural sciences. Frankly, I'm appalled that an educated woman did not fully comprehend what was in that chart when reading it. That disturbs me a lot, and it actually makes me very angry.
