Re: Why

Yes. They're men who hate women. But from what I took from OP is that she is asking as a whole gender. Like why do all those who have the XY chromosome hate everyone of the XX chromosome? Which they don't. Yes, there men who hate women in a nightmarish way. As to why that is so? That's is their own fucked up problems with their own fucked up brains.

But I hate this all or nothing movement. That if you say, "Well, not all men are like that." You are automatically labeled a misogynist. Fuck that. I hate that all or nothing movement. It's poison to any progress. It sets up an "us vs. them" mentality that will only set us back. I want people to see me as an individual. So, I refuse to put people in a group.

I agree with this. It's why I don't like to talk about it.

At the same time I am a victim of sexist crimes from those nasty men out there so I completely understand why people are having the mentality they are. If I talked about some of the trauma I went through and the response I got was "well I'm not like that" (which has happened to me several times) it starts to get old because OF COURSE you don't mean that person it's not about them.

I guess what I'm saying is that I am really not sure where I stand on the whole thing because both sides have good and bad points.

it's not really carrying judgment on literally every man ever though. when people say things like that, it's more like "I hate the institution of men that makes this so common." I get that it's like, "why don't they say it that way then?" but it's such an emotionally charged issue that neutral responses are difficult or unwanted. basically it has nothing to do with individuals and more about culture.

But it doesn't matter that it's not all men. What matters is how so many women are hurt. It's about women and what can be done to protect them from the men who do hate and hurt them.
