I don't mind them for tumblr because the tags won't let you input the slash without borking the whole thing but in general I agree with you. There are a couple of ones I like though. Pepperony (Tony/Pepper) and Starbucks (Bucky/Steve) are kind of cute, ngl (although the latter isn't used as the main tag for obvious reasons)
