You seems pretty mature about ahipping, but a lot of people sadly are not.

Depending on the fandom, "support groups" could the the only place where people can ship in all its silly, fangirly glory, because otherwise it might stir shit on the part of the fandom that hate said ship/they way they are shipped. At least that's how things in my fandom are.

I agree that getting upset about what people ship is just dumb.
