It's a site where you can learn various things (mostly languages), and create little mnenomics (called mems) to help you and others learn. You get tested often on the things you learn, and the better you are at a thing the less the site tests you on it and the more points its worth when you do get tested. You can customise a leaderboard for you to compete with people who may not compete with you.

A lot of the courses are made by ordinary users, so the quality of any one course is not guaranteed, but it can be pretty useful and fun.
