DA, but Supernatural, Teen Wolf and Sherlock all slash it up pretty hard, and lack all of the things brooms mentioned. No major prominent female characters and the core cast is mostly men, so...slash-heavy.

I can't think of a corresponding show that's femslash heavy, though, which is kind of sad.

Rizzoli & Isles?

I assume you're limiting it to non-cable?

Yes, there's not a lot of f/f around. It might be that I'm a slasher, but I noticed it only in Zena.

Orphan Black and Lost Girl, perhaps?

I've watched one ep of Orphan Black, and there's something. I think you're better than me in recognizing the signs anyway)

Orphan Black has a canon f/f couple ... fic about them comprises about 75% of the OB fanfic on Ao3, I think.

[personal profile] solticisekf 2014-06-06 01:06 am (UTC)(link)
ha! So there are f/f dominant fansoms!

Indeed! Not many, to be sure, but they DO exist.

(It certainly does help if one of the main characters is in a f/f relationship, as is the case for OB (and for Lost Girl, as far as I know.)

Wow a canon relationship! All my ships are UST or even rivals. Btw, when I asked for recs of series with femaile leads, I got 'Rosemary and Thyme' and 'Rizzoly and Isles'.

In Orphan Black, Cosima is in a relationship with Delphine. In Lost Girl, Bo was in a relationhip with Lauren (at least in S2, I haven't watched it since then.)

Bo is such a short name! Did you like Lost Girl? I haven't watched it at all, and maybe I should take a look.

Honestly? I liked it initially, enjoyed the world-building, and adored most of the secondary and minor characters. That said, by the end of Season 2 I ran out of motivation to watch it.

I do think it's worth checking out, though. If you have access to NetFlix, I'm pretty sure that the first 2 or 3 seasons are available to watch on-line.

Thanks! You know it sounds pretty great. I'll check out a couple of episodes, see if I like it.)

Yeah, let me know what you think! It started off very strong, imo.

(I also really liked the friendship between the main character and her non-Fae best friend Kenzi (a lot of people ship those two I think), but then I loved Kenzi to pieces.)
