Yeah ... tbh I don't find her to have that much chemistry with Tommy, either. Maybe it's because to me she seems oddly bland overall, just on her own? Like, I felt Laurel's co-worker in the first few eps (sorry can't recall the character's name) and McKenna had much more ... energy or something. It might be partly the way Amell is playing his role as well.

I think the lack of sparkage was really noticeable once Roy (?) and Thea started to interact (I'm 2 or 3 eps past Roy'a introduction).

I've actually looked for fics with Oliver and that coworker, I think we mean the same one, and the search turned up empty.
Laurel's undergone a not so good character development in some episodes in s2, imho.
