I think maybe the Russos/Stan was trying for it...
(Anonymous) 2014-06-06 09:35 pm (UTC)(link)I mean, the Winter Soldier is pretty much the exact opposite of Bucky in every way (at least until he kinda broke). Bucky was sexy in the "I want to have fun with you and go out on the town" way. The Winter Soldier was sexy in the "I should stay on the far side of the planet from you. I really should. But fuck you're hot…"
Patriotic soldier vs. stone-cold killing machine; boy next door vs. deadly, dark and handsome.
I could definitely be getting overly meta, and maybe it's just that I think killing machines striding off cars with single-minded determination is hot as hell, but I could also see it as intentional.
I think it's just a case of ovaries (testes, if you're male?) not listening to reason. So our brains get to be all "…gah! Bucky?! D: D: AAAAAH! PIERCE YOU RAT-BASTARD!" while our hormones are going "WHOOHOO!"
Brubaker's Cap run takes up an entire shelf of my bookcase. I have a hard time ignoring. I don't THINK the movies will do it but I'm still terribly worried.
