That's how everyone talks about everything in homestuck. They can't even say "my parents just died" without spending twenty lines on an arbitrary verbal tangent.

I don't remember if it's Dirk or his glasses talking here, but if it's Dirk, he's gay (in canon) and if it's the glasses, uh...it's glasses. Glasses that are programmed to be like Dirk.

It's also canon that Roxy has/had a crush on Dirk and he felt bad that he couldn't reciprocate.

(It's also canon that they're related via ectobiology, but afaik they're not aware of that [yet]).

they're not related since they were ecto-cloned from their adult selves and their dna slime never mixed (like it did to create dave and rose), but that's neither here nor there.

i sure do wish they turned out to be the related pair instead of dave and rose, though

Why is that? That you wish they were related instead of Dave and Rose, I mean.

And Dirk and Roxy are still technically related, if Rose and Roxy are daughtermoms, Rose and Dave are ectosiblings, and Dave and Dirk are...bros? Whatever they are.

but they're not related directly to each other. related in the same way that two unrelated parents are related to their offspring, sure

and dave and rose were my hardcore otp before they were revealed to be ectosiblings. it seemed so obvious they were into each other and then they turned out to be related, whereas dirk and roxy aren't related but aren't going to become a couple. i realize it sounds stupid any way i write it - it's just shipping feelings.
