Pills! And sleep, if possible. Do you have painkillers that will help? I don't know if you want to share what is causing your pain, but I'm all for using every good drug at my disposal for pain management.

Sometimes, though, you have to get in front of the pain or the pills won't cut it. In which case? Alcohol, specifically wine, if you're able to keep food down. It not only helps dull pain, but just generally relaxes you and makes you care less about the pain. You also have to be careful about alcohol if you are taking any pills, in case there are bad interactions. Percocet + alcohol specifically made me quite ill once.

Painkillers: yes I have them. The problem is that painkillers have reduced effect on me. So the get relief/take dangerous doses line is a fine one.

I considered booze, but it's a bad idea since as you said I already had pain medication. And alcohol has a similar problem for me: unless I keep drinking, it won't numb me for long. Also I still had to drive today, so there's that.
