I think a lot of fans funded the Homestuck adventure game kickstarter thinking and hoping it was going to be some version of SBurb, even when Hussie said from the beginning that it just plain flat-out wasn't. I understand this and very much look forward to the adventure game because the Mystery Girl is super-cute and I know Hussie's going to make it a fun and engaging adventure.

BUT I still kind of wish there was an official version of Sburb, just as a casual MMO type of thing. I think it'd be really fun to get your really-for-realsies-official godtier title and really be challenged to use and strengthen your problem-solving skills in-game. There have been some fan ARGs on Tumblr along those lines but I've never gotten to them in time to play them.

What is Sburb? Where Homestuck takes place?

SBurb is the videogame that the kids within the comic are playing, but it's more than just a videogame--it's reality-altering and lets the players produce new universes under the right conditions. SBurb assigns each of them a title (Seer of Light, Witch of Space, whatever) and they're challenged to mature and grow through these titles that symbolize something that they're meant to grow into. They also get their own little individualized quest planet to do stuff on, like the Land of Light and Rain or the Land of Wind and Shade.

Obviously that couldn't be a thing in real life, but I think it'd be cool if there was a casual MMO version with cool puzzles and fetch quests and stuff, and I think it'd be neat if it took the player themself into account and assigned a set of skills and conditions based on the player's problem-solving style. Probably a bit too ambitious and would probably be annoying in practice but I think it's a cool idea, anyway.
