I like them, but only as best friends :) Honestly, can't anyone in fandom ever just be best friends anymore? When did friendship become so out of the question? You can love your friends with having sex :P

Friendship is generally based on having similar interests. Love is generally potrayed as a pull towards one another that just sort of happens. I like them as friends--and it's obviously a children's movie--but the way it was set up just screamed traditional romance to me. Both of them were willing to go against their own friends and family for the sake of their relationship with one another. If they had been a girl sheep and a boy wolf I don't think anyone would be playing the 'why can't friends be friends' card.

As an aside, I never really considered the logistics of them having sex, nor do I want to.

Actually, I still would be :) I think friendship is sometimes just as powerful as love if not more so becuase love can fade with time but friendship normally lasts much longer :)
