Are you having a good Sunday? I'm thinking about getting out of work earlier. :\a

Good news: started a new voluntary position at a local nature reserve, and I'm getting a new phone tomorrow.
Bad news: Hayfever and a sore throat are doing their best to fuck me over.

I made waffles with my new waffle maker! They were perfect. :D Invited my sis and her BF over to eat some as well.

I'm jealous, my (ancient, passed-down-from-Grandma) waffle maker broke during my last move and I haven't had waffles in 6 months ;_;

I got a $40 one off amazon. The first try was a success!

My dad can't register the difference between them and pancakes. One morning he hyped me up by saying he was gonna make waffles. When I got downstairs he made a mountain of pancakes. I remember being more upset than necessary, the pancakes were still good XD

Spent a nice day with my friend and her doggies. I'm pretty shattered now, though.

It's been great. I bought a cute new polka dot dress that fits amazingly and I'm so excited to wear it. Also doing a nice homemade meal for dinner tonight yay.

I've been somewhat productive and also I just made fried rice :D

Fried rice is amazing. I think I'll go and follow your example.

This is the first time I've ever made it! It was good, too :)

Working on my essay. Finished results, discussion and bibliography: good. Need to do some serious presentation work on appendix: not good at all.

Well, no, not really 'as a dog'. Stuffy/runny nose, non-productive cough. At least the body/joint aches are gone.

I made no progress on my theisis and now lots of people are having parties where they sing bad music badly.

I wouldn't call it 'good' just because I haven't had time to do anything entertaining or relaxing, but for the rest of the day I'm gonna sit here reading fanfic or watching tv because my back hurts. (Unexpected period ftw.)

Anyway, I worked out, vacuumed the house then did more chores. After lunch I went to my brothers house and helped clean up; his hot water heater burst and his bathroom was a mess.

I am having a neutral Sunday, and also a lazy one. Later I will take a brisk walk and then probably do some crochet because I ended up buying the pretty pink metallic yarn I was talking about yesterday.

Planned to go to the Air and Space Museum. Woke up with a cold. Have been sleeping all day.

I woke up with a headache :( Contemplating sleeping my day away.

Hanging out with a friend I'm slowly growing more irritated and resentful with.

She's going through hard times (lonely, depression, stress) and while I want to be supportive there's a tiny bit of resentfulness at how utterly unsupportive (and borderline manipulative) she was when I was going through depression (lonely, immune disease, stress) and I understand but I'm also pissed at how she wants to monopolise my time and judge my other friends and...basically act like a controlling girlfriend (when we're not even dating!)

So yay friend who I normally like but also irritation that they were the utter opposite of help for me but expect me to drop everything for them.

I sympathize. I have a friend who I'm starting to find it very tedious to be friends with because so many bad things happen to her all the time, and I feel like the relationship has become all about her and the effort I can make without getting anything in return from her. :(

I still care about her, but it's wearying.

It's a drive by whine :( finally done the social thing with her and running home to recharge. I hope my laundrey is dry.
